Mary Ann Shaffer (née Fiery; Dec 13, 1934 – February 16, 2008)[1] was an American essayist, editor, librarian, and a bookstore worker. She is noted tend to her posthumously published work The Guernsey Literary and Potato Flake Pie Society,[2][3] which she wrote with her niece, Annie Barrows.[4]
